The Family Center, Inc. is a youth support organization dedicated to creating a world where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We believe that by providing young people with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they can achieve great things and make a positive impact on their families and community.
Our Mission
The Family Center, Inc, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower low income and disenfranchised youth by offering leadership, developing life skills, building healthy habits, providing educational enrichment, and encouraging confidence to succeed. We'll assist local youth through mentoring programs, workshops, tutoring, work study, and internships from community stakeholders.
Our Vision
Our vision is for low income and disenfranchised youth in Forsyth County to be reconnected with the family, the school system, business world and community. We envision creating successful, college graduates, entrepreneurs, workers and professionals engaged with both the family and community. This leads to future generations of successful families, businesses, and community members.
Our Programs
At The Family Center, Inc., we offer a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of young people in our community. From academic support and career readiness, to arts and culture, our programs provide young people with the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to succeed in life. Our youth reinvest their time, resources, and knowledge back into their families and the community.

Come Meet The Easter Bunny! Join The Family Center Inc., as we host a fun filled Easter Egg Hunt with exciting attractions like a Bouncy House, Pictures with The Easter Bunny, Prizes to be Won, and Free Lunch. You don't want to miss this fun and exciting event. The event begins at 11:00. Lunch will be served at 12:00 and the exciting Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to begin at 1:00 at the Sims Recreation Center. See you there.

We'd like to make Thanksgiving 2024 special for local children that wouldn't otherwise receive a turkey and enjoy a full family meal. With Love, we will distribute turkeys, food staples, and other giveaways at the William C. Sims Recreation Center located at 1204 Alder Street in Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Can't wait to see our youth and families.
